Anantapur hospital felicitates KIA CEO on reaching milestone

Anantapur: Anantapur Super Specialty Hospital, which had been established as part of a package that divided Andhra Pradesh to serve Rayalaseema region, has reached a milestone of conducting 100 angioplasties and 300 angiograms within a short period.

The hospital had been opened to take care of patients affected by Covid pandemic. It began the super specialty services only last year, with KIA Motors India donating the Litho Lab a few months ago as part of its corporate social responsibility activities.

On Tuesday, Anantapur Urban MLA Ananta Venkatrami Reddy and the super speciality hospital authorities felicitated KIA CEO Dangli for providing the equipment to the cardiac ward of the hospital, which helped complete the 100 angioplasties and 300 angiograms.

On the occasion, they launched a website on the services being provided by the super specialty hospital in the fields of cardiology, neurology and emergency medical care.

Speaking on the occasion, Ananta Venkatrami Reddy said state government is spending ₹300 crore on expansion of the Anantapur General Hospital as part of its Nadu-Nedu works, which are progressing speedily. Anantapur Medical College principal Manikya Rao and GGH superintendent Dr. K.S.S. Venkateswara Rao were among those present.
