HYDERABAD: TPCC leader V. Hanumantha Rao, M. Kodanda Reddy and Niranjan, who visited Deccan Sport Mall in Secunderabad on Friday, alleged that the fire mishap occurred because of negligence of GHMC officials.
The leaders collected details from fire department officials on what had triggered the incident. Rao said that municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao has failed to keep a vigil on GHMC officials.
"It was pure negligence of GHMC, whose officials failed to take action against illegal constructions in their limits. The officials take bribes while giving permissions for construction of buildings. Many adjoining buildings were damaged due to the massive fire. The government must provide compensation to families of the victims," the TPCC leaders said.
