Special curriculum to shape bright future of children: KTR

KARIMNAGAR: The Telangana state government is focusing on ways to shape a bright future for children so that they can stand on their own legs. “We would prepare a curriculum about how children should behave with others and can lead a happy life,” Minister K.T. Rama Rao has said.

The minister accompanied by vice-chairman of the state planning board, Vinod Kumar, and chairman of the NAFSCAB and TSCAB Ravinder Rao, ZP chairperson N Aruna, inaugurated the newly developed education campus at Government Zilla Parishad High School, erected at a cost of Rs 8.5 crores in Yellareddypet mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district on Tuesday.

This was done during observation of the ‘Education Day’ as part of the Telangana state decennial celebrations.

Rama Rao said classrooms shape the bright future of the new generation and the nation. Because of education, growth and development occurs. AS part of imparting education in schools, the children will also be taught about how to maintain healthy human relations.

“Many people from the Telangana region are seen in the US. The sight of so many Telugus there gives me immense happiness. There are also people belonging to rural areas of Sircilla district working in several famous companies there. Because of the hard work of the teachers, the students here are reaching greater heights in their lives,” the minister said.

He asked, “How was Telangana in terms of education, health, power and agriculture sectors nine year back, and how is it now under the ruling of the BRS government?”

The previous state governments of 57 years never bothered about the development of the schools and temples, he said.

“But, in nine years, several issues were resolved and the present government facilitated enormous development. The Thandas were transformed into grama panchayats. A few days back, restoration and re-construction works of two famous temples in Sircilla were taken up,” Rama Rao, who represents this constituency as its MLA said.

He said, “At an appropriate time, a degree college will also be sanctioned at Yellareddypet mandal. The student who will come to the school with a slate should leave the campus with a degree certificate in his/her hand --studying from KG to PG in facilities established by the state government in Gambhiraopet mandal.”

Under the 'Computer Champs' scheme, he said, basic computer education would be provided to 22,000 students of 60 government schools in Rajanna Sircilla district. Self-defense training would be given to girls in government schools, he added.
