Hyderabad: Task Force sleuths of Hyderabad Police’s North Zone busted a ghee adulteration racket and arrested the owner identified as Perumal Nachi Muthu Naveen at Monda Market in Secunderabad on Sunday.

Naveen, a trader, was found to be preparing the ghee by mixing palm oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil and various chemicals, said Task Force officials.

Naveen was selling a kg of adulterated ghee for '500, which is less than the original ghee in the market, sold at around '700. In 2019, he was also arrested for manufacturing adulterated ghee.

During the raid, mixed ghee weighing about 45 kg and equipment used for making it were seized and were handed over to Market Police Station for further action.
