Three top technical institutions collaborate to launch innovative MBA programme
Visakhapatnam: In a groundbreaking collaboration, three of India's prestigious Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) - the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV), the National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW), and the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool (IIITDMK) - have announced the launch of an innovative collaborative MBA program. This initiative aligns with the spirit of the New Education Policy (NEP 2020), which emphasizes multidisciplinary education for students.
The programme aims to provide BTech and MTech students from Participating Technical Institutions (PTIs) a unique opportunity to pursue the prestigious IIMV MBA program, bridging the gap between technical and managerial skills. Offered in a convenient hybrid mode, it equips students with enhanced capacities and competencies, expanding their career horizons.
Chandrasekhar, director of IIM Visakhapatnam, expressed gratitude to NIT Warangal and IIITDM Kurnool for their collaboration in a programme that offers flexibility and choices to students' academic journeys, aligning with the objectives of NEP 2020. Bidyadhar Subudhi, director of NIT Warangal, highlighted that this collaboration allows students to earn both a BTech and MBA in just five years, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market. Somayajulu, director of IIITDM Kurnool, praised the programme for integrating technical expertise with managerial skills, boosting problem-solving abilities and career prospects for students.
This collaborative MBA programme represents a significant step towards shaping the next generation of technology leaders with a strong managerial foundation. It not only equips students with technical proficiency but also nurtures their strategic thinking and leadership abilities, setting them on a transformative journey with a world of opportunities.
