Newly-wed couple electrocuted in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: A newly wed couple died due to electrocution at Khader Bagh of Langer House in Hyderabad. The bodies of Syed Nisar Uddin, 26, working as a doctor in Suryapet district and his wife Umme Mohimeen Saimah, 22, studying final year medicine, were found in the bathroom of their house.
Police suspect that the incident happened before noon on Thursday, but came to light only after their relatives noticed them dead late in the night.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Additional Inspector, Langar Houz told Deccan Chronicle that the incident could have happened when Saimah was in the bathroom and Nisar Uddin went to her rescue.
The couple got married a couple of months ago and were staying with their relatives. The relatives were staying in the ground floor and the couple in the first floor.
They were last seen in the morning. Later during the night, their relatives tried calling them over phone and since there was no response, they went up to check up and found the couple dead in the bathroom.
Police registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and shifted the bodies for postmortem examination. Further investigation is under process, they said.
