Kakinada: Imprisoned former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari offered prayers to goddesses in various temples in Rajamahendravaram on Friday on the eve of “Sarawathi puja day” during the Navratri festivals.
She, along with the Telugu Desam MLAs Nimmakayala China Rajappa and Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, visited the famous Goddess Uma Markendeyeswara Swamy temple and Bala Tripura Sundari Temple at Devi Chowk. She took a darshan of the gods and goddesses.
Meanwhile, several Telugu Desam leaders and cadres from Srikakulam, Nellimarla, Vizianagaram, Gopalapuram, Chittoor, Nagari, and other areas of the state came to Rajamahendravaram and met Bhuvaneswari. They expressed their solidarity with Bhuvaneswari and condemned the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. Former MLA S.C.V. Naidu, Panchayat Raj Chamber president Y.V.B. Rajendra Prasad, and several sarpanches met Bhuvaneswari.
