Hyderabad: Officials from the income tax (I-T) department conducted raids on the offices of KPC Infra in Hyderabad and Proddatur of Andhra Pradesh for alleged tax evasion. Among the company’s clients are T Works, T-Hub, GHMC, and the AP and TS governments.
According to sources, several teams simultaneously conducted the raids and reportedly collected income-tax returns (ITRs), bank accounts of the company and its promoters. K. Anil Kumar is its chairman and managing director.
Among the projects constructed by KPC are T-Works Phase-I, T Hub Phase II building in Gachibowli, Dr B.R. Ambedkar statues in Hyderabad and Vijayawada, Martyrs memorial at Lumbini Park, district collector office in Kothagudem, national highways in Suryapet and other projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The officials enquired about the sources of income, investments, purchase of material and other works taken up by the management, which also runs K.C. Pullaiah Foundation in Hyderabad and Proddatur.
