Kurnool: Two youngsters died during Ganesh idol immersion in Kurnool and Sri Sathya Sai districts late on Wednesday.
In Kurnool, Raju,21, a resident of Krishnapuram village in Veldurthi mandal, drowned while immersing Lord Ganesha idol in a local tank. Bystanders noticed him drowning, pulled him out of the water, but he died on the way to the hospital. An investigation into the incident is on, said SI Chandrasekhar.
In Sri Sathyasai district, a 26-year-old man identified as Prasad suffered a heart attack in Dharmavaram and died while dancing at the pandals during the immersion ceremony. He collapsed suddenly and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead
