Rachakonda cops issue strict guidelines for new year party organisers

HYDERABAD: Celebrate the New Year Responsibly! A little caution, vigilance and awareness can double your enthusiasm and excitement, said Rachakonda police commissioner police Mahesh Bhagwat.

Rachakonda police in view of new year celebrations, have issued guidelines to the public, farmhouses, resorts and various establishments hosting new year events on Thursday.

The commissioner urged that the guidelines be followed on the intervening night of December 31 till 1 am January 1.

In the guidelines issues, the Cyberabad cops stated that the event organisers should make sure that noise levels laid under Central Pollution Control Board which is 45 decibels shall be strictly followed.

While sound of the musical event shall not be heard beyond the premises where the event is organised, if any neighbor complains about the sound pollution, stern action would be taken, Mahesh Bhagwat said.

He also said vulgarity or no obscene dressing or obscene dances should be allowed and that organisers should ensure that no minor is permitted in programs that are organised exclusively for couples while ensuring separate enclosures for couples.

It has also been made clear that the age of attendees should be checked for entry. It is mandatory to collect a copy of the valid identity cards of the visitors. Similarly singers and performers should not be allowed to mingle or venture into the crowd and licensees were directed to ensure that CCTV cameras with recording facility are installed at all the entry, exit points of establishment covering 50 yards of the streets in front of every establishment.

Organisers of new year parties at remotely located home stays, resorts, private apartments should watch out for any persons consuming drugs and immediately inform the concern police station immediately.

They are also warned against conducting any rave parties and must put in place strict vigil at parking areas and other places where drugs are clandestinely sold.

“It is the responsibility of the management of pubs and bars to to provide drivers and cabs to the customers who are drunk, none of the customers in drunken condition should be allowed to indulge in ruckus and misbehavior in the premises.” Mahesh Bhagwat said.

All pubs, wine shops, Bars and restaurants managements were directed to not only to close their establishments as per the stipulated time but to ensure that a separate gates for entry and exist at the venue.
