Mobilisation camp for Bapatla police personnel concludes

VIJAYAWADA: Bapatla district superintendent of police Vakul Jindal on Wednesday participated in the concluding session of a mobilisation programme organised by District Armed Forces to further enhance the functional skills of armed reserve personnel of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said the programme is organised every year for the armed reserve personnel to improve their skills and physical fitness levels. The programme includes indoor and outdoor classes for developing professional skills, handling of modern weapons, mob control, VIP escorting and providing escort to prisoners, among others.

Vakul Jindal said many measures are being taken for welfare of the district armed reserve staff, including medical camps, grievance settlement days and establishment of a drinking water plant in Bapatla town.

The SP said a police welfare canteen and shopping complex will soon be started for police personnel to buy subsidised goods.
