ADILABAD: Three Singareni workers fell sick due to a leak of chemical gas from the SRP 3 mine in Sirampur division in Mancherial district on Thursday. The three were Ravi, Rajanikanth, and Damodhar.
The workers were immediately shifted to the Ramakrishnapur area hospital. The incident took place at the 34 distinct, the second level, and at the third seam. According to sources, there were 11 workers at the site. Singareni officials did not allow the second-shift workers to be present in the mine.
The rescue team escorted out the 23 other workers from the mine to safety outside. It also started an investigation to ascertain the reasons for the gas leak.
