Bandi may not appear for questioning in TSPSC paper leak case, rejects SIT probe

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar is not expected to appear for questioning in the TSPSC question paper leak case on Friday, party sources said, over a summons issued by the special investigation team (SIT), seeking evidence over claims made by him in the case.

The summons was pasted, according to SIT officials, on the wall of Sanjay’s house in the city on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Sanjay, however, said he did not receive any such summons but did find some scraps of torn paper stuck on the wall of his house.

Sanjay had also made it clear while answering questions from mediapersons on Wednesday that the BJP rejects the SIT investigation as it has no faith in the probe team appointed by the state government.

“There were several SITs before, one in the Nayeem encounter case, then into the drugs and involvement of film personalities and other instances. The SIT is something that dances to the diktats of the Chief Minister and we have no faith in it. What we are demanding is an investigation into the TSPSC question paper leak by a sitting judge. We also want to know why neither the Chief Minister or his son and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao have not been asked to appear before the SIT in the case?” Sanjay had said.

The BJP contends, just as the Congress has, that Rama Rao must be questioned — and asked to provide evidence — over his claims in public that only two employees of TSPSC were involved in the leaks, on the lines of the summons issued to Bandi Sanjay.

The BJP also wants Rama Rao to provide evidence on the claim that the BJP could be involved in organizing the question paper leaks in a bid to defame the state government.
