Woman constable Naveena felicitated for saving life with CPR at Gymkhana Grounds
HYDERABAD: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan appreciated Begumpet constable Dawa Naveena who gave revived a woman who was injured and fainted at Gymkhana Ground following Thursday’s lathi charge. Police commissioner C.V. Anand also felicitated Naveena on Friday.
She also shifted the woman, identified as Ranjitha, housekeeping staff at Gymkhana, to a hospital in the Begumpet inspector’s vehicle.
Retweeting a tweet of the Hyderabad police on Naveena's story published in Deccan Chronicle, the Governor wrote, "Great service done in time saved her life! Congratulations Naveena! Good job done. Appreciate Hyderabad city police for training her on CPR" .
“Naveena’s timely assistance saved a life. She used her training in emergency medical assistance to good effect by administering cpr until the paramedics could arrive.” said Anand. He awarded Naveena an appreciation certificate and presented a reward of Rs. 5,000.
