Kaikinada: Two persons died and a youth was missing, while two girls have been rescued from a mishap near Perupalem beach in West Godavari district on Sunday. The two girls were admitted to the Government Hospital at Narsapuram.
The Mogalturu police said two families comprising 15 persons including two drivers came to Perupalem beach in the afternoon from Tanuku of West Godavari district. They were taking bath in the sea, when five persons were found missing in the waters.
Of these, the bodies of Gorsa Savithri (30) and Anupoju Raghu Varma (26) were identified. Anupoju Vasantha Kumar (17) was missing. The two girls -- Anupoju Sravani (19) and Gorsa Tanmayi (15) -- were rescued and admitted to the Government Hospital at Narsapuram.
A search was on for the 17-year-old Vasantha Kumar. The Mogalturu police registered a case.
