Hyderabad: City and Cyberabad traffic police arranged a green channel and facilitated the transport of a live organ (lungs) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad to Kims hospital, Secunderabad, on Thursday. The 35.3 km distance was covered in 27 minutes flat.
The medical team carrying the live organ started from RGIA at 10.58 am and reached Kims hospital by 11.25 am passing through PVNR Express Way, SD Hospital Mehdipatnam, Lakdikapul, Old PS Saifabad, Iqbal Minar, Tank Bund and Ranigunj.
The green channel efforts of the police in the transportation of organs were applauded by the management of KIMS hospital. This year, the city traffic police have facilitated transport of five live organs.
