Admission supervisory panel to check rank list
Thiruvananthapuram: The Admission Supervisory Committee headed by Justice J.M. James will monitor whether self-financing medical colleges have implemented its direction to make changes in the rank list. Justice James told this newspaper that the panel would look into violations if any by the medical colleges. It would finalise the action against the erring colleges at a meeting to be held in two or three days. The committee at its sitting which ended late on Thursday night directed Malabar Medical College, Modakkallur, Kozhikode, to publish the management and NRI quota lists separately with NEET rank so as to enable the applicants to know their ranks and position.
The rejected list, if any, should also be published. The committee also asked P.K. Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Ottap-palam, Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences, Kollam, Travancore Medical College, Kollam, and Al Azhar Medical College, Thodupuzha, to include the eligible candidates on rectification of defects in their applications in the rank list maintaining inter se merit, transparency and academic excellence.
The committee on Tuesday had asked Believers Church Medical College, Thiruvalla, and Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Science, Ernakulam, to allow all candidates whose applications were rejected on technical grounds to resubmit the documents. Mount Zion Medical College, Adoor, was asked to immediately publish all the lists related to MBBS admissions.
