ABVP Accuses BRS Government of Career-Wrecking Exam Leaks in Telangana

KARIMNAGAR: Frequent leakages of question papers during the rule of BRS under leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has played with careers and lives of students and maligned the image of Telangana, leaders of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) charged at a dharna they staged in Karimnagar on Sunday.

Addressing students who gathered on the occasion, district ABVP convenor P. Vishnu said lakhs of students had worked hard for years together, stayed in hostels and prepared for competitive examinations to get government jobs, including Group-1. Such students have been terribly disappointed after Group-I preliminary examinations conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) have been suspended for the second time.

The ABVP leader maintained that when irregularities had taken place the first time, state government should have taken necessary measures to prevent any such kind of incidents. Yet, the government behaved negligently and prepared the OMR sheet without hall ticket and biometric details.

Vishnu accused the BRS government of playing with the lives of students. “If it does not have any intention to fill the vacancies in government jobs, then why is it releasing notifications and raising hopes of students,” he asked.

The ABVP leader demanded dismissal of TSPSC secretary and chairman and dissolution of the commission as it has been unable to conduct examinations transparently.

ABVP members B. Nandu, Samhith, Nagaraju, Vamshi, Siddu, Sai Krishna, Anil and Madhu were among those present at the dharna.
