Nizamabad: District election officer and collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu said that sectoral officers would play a key role at booth-level polling in the upcoming elections.
He directed sectoral officials to submit a report on sensitive and hyper-sensitive polling stations in the district. Police commissioner V. Satyanarayana also took part in the training programme held here on Saturday.
The collector said that sectoral officers should take steps for fair and transparent polling and keep a vigil on forces who try to disturb or influence the voters during the elections. Final proposals on sensitive, hyper-sensitive polling stations would be submitted within three days after the election notification was out, he said.
