Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department (APPTD), popular as APSRTC, has agreed to give promotions to its employees irrespective of their educational qualifications, besides implementing old rules.
APSRTC had issued a circular in this regard. Employees union president Palisetti Damodara Rao has thanked APSRTC managing director (MD) Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao in this regard.
Damodara Rao said henceforth, employees, whose qualifications are below SSC, would also get promotions and Automatic Advance Scheme (AAS) increments.
As many as 50,000 RTC employees are expected to get promotions, irrespective of their educational qualifications.
