Government personnel meeting with political party representatives after the elections have been called is a violation of the model code of conduct.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Gopal objected to the suspension. He said that he was not wearing a BRS kanduva; he was wearing the kanduva of the Telangana Rashtra Trade Union which is also pink in colour.
