Railways officials inspect Vande Bharat Express
Hyderabad: The Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Vijayawada, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sankranti, was subjected to a surprise inspection on Tuesday.
General Manager of South Central Railways Arun Kumar Jain and senior officials interacted with passengers and took their feedback about their travel experience. They travelled along with the passengers from Vijayawada to Secunderabad.
Since its launch, the train has recorded 100 per cent occupancy, according to railway charts. The train has 16 coaches, carrying 1,128 passengers, of which two executive class coaches host 104 passengers.
During the journey, officials reviewed the facilities, catering arrangements and quality of food served to passengers. Jain inspected the food plate arrangements between Khammam and Warangal stations, took stock of the safety procedures followed by locomotive pilots, and inspected the signalling and train capacity.
Railways officials said that passengers appreciated the premium features of the train and the efforts of the Railways in ensuring a good travel experience.
