Kurnool collector wants property documents finalised

KURNOOL: Kurnool collector P. Koteswara Rao on Friday said the ground-truth establishing process with regard to properties should be carried out in a smooth manner in all proposed villages across the district. In this regard, he wanted revenue and survey departments to complete their re-survey process within the stipulated time.

Speaking at an orientation session organised for tahsildars, deputy tahsildars and survey officers at the collectorate, the collector pointed out that registers and documents related to the re-survey will be used by the next 4–5 generations of owners. Hence, they should be finalised as per the rules, without any scope for discrepancies.

Joint collector S. Ramasundar Reddy said out of 472 revenue villages in Phase-I, a re-survey has been completed in 68 villages. Kurnool is the first district to complete the porting process from Webland to Webland 2.0. He directed officials concerned to finalise ground-truth reports village-wise every day.

The joint collector directed that measures be taken to ensure that the Form 1 schedule of the re-survey is distributed through volunteers to all landowners. As soon as the draft RoR (record of rights) is received, gram sabhas should be constituted for appeals to be recorded within a year.

In-charge DRO Mallikarjunudu, Kurnool RDO Hari Prasad, Survey and Land AD Pawan Kumar, special deputy collector Naga Prasanna Lakshmi and deputy survey inspector Vijaya Sarathi were among those who participated in the orientation session.
