Hyderabad: A worker was critically injured while five others were hurt after a reactor exploded in Hindyas Labs at Veliminedu village under Chityal police limits, around 5.30 am on Wednesday. Around 10 workers were working in the shift at that time.
District fire service officer Yagna Narayana said that they received a call from the security staff of a chemical factory and three fire tenders from Nalgonda, Ramayanpet and Chandur that were rushed to the unit doused the flames.
Following the mishap, the workers inside the factory ran out and started crying for help.
"Our personnel shifted the injured persons while the critically injured and two others were shifted to a corporate hospital. The condition of three of the injured is stable," said Nalgonda SP Rema Rajeswari.
