Visakhapatnam: Rains lashed north coastal Andhra on Thursday bringing in minor changes in the route map of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who would be laying the foundation stone for Central Tribal University at Chinamedapalli village under Mentada of Vizianagaram on Friday morning.
As per the itinerary, the chief minister will arrive at Chinamedapalli by helicopter, After laying the foundation, he would fly to Maradam and address a public meeting. Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be accompanying the chief minister.
“Though the 4-km road from Chinamedpalli to Maradam is BT tar-topped, the senior officials did not want to take any risk due to the rains,’’ said a senior official.
