Vijayawada: The ACB court has adjourned to Tuesday, the hearing on Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s bail plea and the AP-CID’s plea for custody of Naidu for further probe, in connection with AP skill development scam.
The CID sleuths submitted a report of their two-day probe of Naidu held in the central prison in Rajahmundry from September 23 to 24, to the ACB judge in a sealed cover here on Monday. This was as per the order issued by the court while granting two days’ CID custody of Naidu.

Earlier, there were arguments from counsels of both Naidu and AP-CID as to which petition to be heard at the first instance. The AP-CID officials insisted on taking up their petition seeking custody of Naidu on priority basis.
Subsequently, the ACB judge asked the CID to make some changes in its counter affidavit opposing bail to Naidu and resubmit it.
The ACB judge also asked Naidu’s counsel to file a counter-affidavit on AP-CID’s petition seeking his custody for five more days.
Later, the judge announced he would take up both the petitions for hearing on Tuesday.
In a related development, advocate general S. Sriram filed a contempt of court petition in the AP High Court on the passing of unsavoury remarks against the Vijayawada ACB court judge and two High Court judges dealing with Telugu Desam chief Naidu’s cases pertaining to AP skill development scam, the AP fibernet scam and also in a case of anomalies in alignment of Amaravati Inner Ring Road etc, seeking action against the culprits.
The AG in his petition said they were receiving complaints on how the judicial system was being undermined as some people were targeting it in the last two weeks. Some judges were being targeted and even abused when they were discharging their duties with integrity and honesty, he said.
