Kurnool SP inspects border check post to prevent election malpractices

Kurnool: The Kurnool district superintendent of police G. Krishnakanth conducted an inspection at the Panchalingala check-post near the border on Tuesday in view of the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.

During the inspection, he stressed the need for strict measures to prevent the smuggling of cash, alcohol, ganja, and other unauthorised goods, all of which could potentially influence voters during the election. He directed officials to maintain strict vigilance at district border check posts.

The SP was accompanied by special branch circle inspectors Prasad and Srinivas Reddy, Kurnool Taluk CI Sriram, sub-inspectors, and State Enforcement Bureau police during the inspection.
