Visakhapatnam: A video has gone viral on Tuesday showing a senior YSRC leader distributing a liquor bottle and a live chicken to voters in Visakhapatnam South constituency as Dasara gift.
The leader has been identified as Doddi Bapu Anand, in charge of south mandal unit of the ruling party.
People flocked to ward no 31 to collect their bonanza.
While local MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar could not be reached for comment, area GVMC corporator Sadique Mohammed said he is not aware of such distribution.
Local opposition leaders said it was unethical to distribute liquor to poor for gaining their support.
