VISHAKHAPATNAM: In response to the ongoing challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Srikakulam branch of the Indian Red Cross Society has proactively initiated comprehensive prevention programmes in the district. Operating under the banner of "Chaitanya Rath," the society has taken a leading role in raising awareness about Covid-19 prevention.
A significant aspect of these initiatives involves the distribution of masks, with approximately 1,000 masks being provided to the community. This distribution effort was closely coordinated with the district medical and health department, showcasing a collaborative approach in the collective fight against the pandemic. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Chairman of the Red Cross, underscored the significance of public engagement and active participation in such initiatives.
During the distribution event, chairman Rao emphasised the critical role that each individual plays in stemming the spread of the virus. He stressed the importance of united efforts for effective prevention, highlighting the need for a collective approach in combating the challenges posed by the pandemic.
