President Murmu to attend Alluri Sitharamaraju's birth anniversary fete

HYDERABAD: President Droupadi Murmu will be in the city on July 4 to participate in the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri Sitharamaraju, which would be held at the Gachibowli stadium.

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari presided over a coordination meeting here on Monday where she reviewed the security arrangements for the President’s visit. Santhi Kumari directed officials to ensure that roads on the President’s route are repaired and barricades are placed early. She instructed officials from all relevant departments to work in close coordination with each other.

The meeting was attended by DGP Anjani Kumar, special chief secretaries Sunil Sharma, Arvind Kumar, principal secretary (home), Jitender, DG fire services Nagi Reddy, Cyberabad police commissioner Stephen Raveendra, secretaries V. Seshadri (GAD), Srinivas Raju (R&B) and GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar.
