Hyderabad: In an attempt to improve coordination and information-sharing between states that are fighting left wing extremism (LWE), Director General of Police Anjani Kumar on Tuesday hosted an inter-state DGP conference here, with police from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and from the Intelligence Bureau and CRPF attending.
The meeting laid emphasis on information sharing, joint training and joint operations.
DGPs Rajnish Seth (Maharashtra), Ashok Juneja (Chhattisgarh), K. Rajendranath Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), CRPF IG, South, Charu Sinha, senior officials from the Central Intelligence Bureau were present along with additional DGs Anil Kumar (Intelligence); Vijay Kumar (Greyhounds), Sanjay Jai (Law & Order), Chief of Operations T. Prabhaker Rao and senior IPS officer Rajeev Meena.
