67th State Level Archery Competition Kicks Off in Parvathipuram Manyam District
Visakhapatnam: The 67th State Level Archery competition commenced at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Gurukulam Pratibhapathshal and KGBV Vidyalayas premises in Jogammapeta village of Sitanagaram mandal. The competition was inaugurated by Parvathipuram district MLA Alajangi Jogarao, MLC Pakalapati Raghuvarma, and district joint collector R. Govinda Rao.
"Hosting the state-level archery competitions in Parvathipuram Manyam district underscores the growing prominence of the district," stated MLA Alajangi Jogarao.
"Our successful organisation of these competitions last year led to this opportunity to host them again, and I am grateful to the state government for their support."
He encouraged the participants to strive for excellence and emphasized that victory and defeat are integral parts of the sporting journey.
MLC Pakalapati Raghu Varma highlighted the rich history of archery in India and the establishment of the Drona Acharya Award to honor outstanding sportspersons. He emphasized the role of sports in fostering mental development and commended the participants for their dedication and commitment.
