TTD to organise 519th Vardhanti of Annamacharya from March 28
Nellore: TTD is gearing up to organise the 519 Vardhanti of Patriarch of Telugu poetry Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya from March 28 to April 1 in Tirumala besides Tirupati and birthplace of saint-poet, Tallapaka in YSR Kadapa district in a big way.
Born in 1408 Annamayya in his 95 years of life span till he attained salvation in 1503, had penned 32,000 Sankeertans in praise of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
With regard to cultural events proposed in Tirumala, prominent artists will perform Saptagiri Sankeertana Yagnam at the Narayanagiri Gardens in Tirumala between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm on March 29.
Sri Ahobila Mutt seer Sri Satagopa Sri Ranganatha Yatindra Maha Desikan Swami will render Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion.
Ahead of the imposing event of Metlotsavam at Padala mandapam in Alipiri at 6 am, the artists of the Annamacharya project and other bhajan mandals will perform Saptagiri Sankeertan Gosti Ganam at Alipiri in Tirupati on March 28. Later on, the artists will walk up to Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple at Tirumala.
At Annamacharya Kala Mandiram in Tirupati, TTD is organising a series of activities from March 28-April 1 which included Saptagiri Sankeertana Gosti Ganam, Sahiti Sadassu and Sangeeta Sabahas.
Among them is the drama titled Anjanadri Hanumadwaibhavam on March 31 and Sri Govindrajaswami Asthanam and Sangeeta Sabhas on April 1 will be observed.
At Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati, TTD will be organizing Sangeeta Sabahas at the Mahati auditorium from March 29 to April 1 wherein eminent singers and dancers will perform and regale the music lovers of the temple city.
At Tallapaka in YSR Kadapa district, TTD is organising Saptagiri Sankeertana Gosti Ganam at Dhyana Mandiram on Dwadasi day on March 29.
Thereafter Harikathas, Sangeeta Sabhas, etc. will be organised at Dhyana Mandiram and the 108 feet Annamaiah statue every day during these three days.
