YSRC MLA protests protocol denial at Tirumala
TIRUPATI: YSR Congress MLA from Giddalur Anna Rambabu expressed displeasure over protocol being allegedly denied to him at Tirumala by officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Speaking to reporters after having darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Sunday, the ruling party legislator accused TTD executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy of denying protocol darshan to his family despite producing a recommendation letter from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Rambabu said he appreciates the emphasis on common devotees. “If the same rule is applied to everyone who visits Tirumala, we are willing to have darshan like any other common devotee,” he maintained.
The ruling party MLA said he will take up the matter with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy.
Meanwhile, sources said TTD provided protocol darshan to the MLA. Authorities, however, allowed only normal VIP break darshan to his wife and others for whom the legislator obtained a recommendation letter from the CMO.
