Priority to better medical care for kidney patients at Uddanam
Vijayawada: Health Minister Vidadala Rajani said on Wednesday the state government is according top priority to treatment of patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases at Uddanam in Srikakulam district.
The minister told the media that the chief minister has set the stone for construction of a 200-bed super specialty hospital at a cost of `50 crore in 2019. It would be ready to serve the patients by March, 2023, as nearly 75 per cent of the works were completed.
She said that in order to provide potable water to the people in seven mandals including Ichapuram, Kavita, Sompeta, Kanchili, Mandasa and Palasa, the state government had taken up the surface water project at a cost of `742 crore and it would be ready for use in March, 2023.
