Simhachalam closed for 2 hours as dog enters temple

Visakhapatnam: A dog transgressed into the Simhachalam Temple in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

As this is tantamount to affecting the sanctity of the temple, officials stopped darshan for two hours.

Devotees had to wait till temple priests performed the Samprokshana ritual. The temple opened for devotees only thereafter.

Devotees alleged the stray dog entered the temple due to negligence of the temple staff.
