Vijayawada: The AP government will conduct sports celebrations across the state under the name of “Aadudam Andhra” (Play Andhra). Sports and games competitions will be held in village/ward, mandal, constituency, district, state levels for 50 days.
The registration for Aadudam Andhra will start on November 27 and the last date for registration is December 13.
Youth advancement minister RK Roja said Aadudam Andhra meant “sports for all”, and this is the first ever set of sports competitions from village/ward secretariat level to state level in Andhra Pradesh.
“Under this, all sports and games including cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho and badminton will be held. The motto is to encourage a healthy lifestyle right from the village level through sports, to discover talent, showcase these at national and international levels and promote sportsmanship.
Roja said the Aadudam Andhra tournament will be held from Dec 15 to Feb 3, 2024. “Sports celebrations in Aadudam Andhra are to be held for 50 days. Anyone from Andhra Pradesh above 15 years of age is eligible to participate.”
The registrations will start on Monday and the last date is Dec 13. Registrations are available at all village/ward secretariats and volunteers would help organise the registrations. Registrations can be done via online portal https://aadudamandhra.ap.gov.in/ (or) by calling toll-free number 1902.
