Hyderabad: The First Communion, an important day in the calendar for Catholics that serves as a communion of faith, eligibility and acceptable in taking part with the consecration of bread and wine at the Lord’s table, as per the faith, was celebrated at St Joseph’s Cathedral.
The cathedral, constructed in the Roman-era Gothic architecture, completed 130 years on the day. Well-dressed congregations filled the space, singing hymns. Around 40 faithful took part in the communion for the first time, guided by Cardinal Poola Anthony.
