Action sought on RSS arms lessons: P Jayarajan
Kochi: Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan has shot off a letter to DGP Loknath Behera seeking action against the RSS for weapon training classes in Kannur. Mr Jayarajan has claimed that a booklet distributed in the class urged the RSS cadre to attack the opposite political parties saying, “attack is the best self-defence.” Mr Jayarajan has asked Mr Behera to book the RSS leaders on the charges, including spreading religious hatred.
In the letter sent on Christmas day, Mr Jayarajan said that the RSS was conducting 'Prathamik Siksha Vargg' for the party workers at Nithyananda English Medium School, Valapattanam, and Tagore Vidyaniket-han at Thalassery. The camp was for weapon training, he said and added that he had proof to show that the RSS was imparting lessons on arms training. According to the guide book for trainers, attack is the best defence. Lessons on arms training are illegal, he said and claimed that he had enough proof to show that RSS was also spreading religious hatred.
According to Mr Jayarajan, aided schools were the venues of these camps. As aided schools are getting grant from the state, the schools are also liable to be prosecuted, he said. Mr Jayarajan, in a separate press release, also alleged that the RSS was behind the widespread attacks against CPM workers in Kannur. “Even after the state government's intervention, the RSS is unleashing attacks on CPM workers’ houses,” he said and pointed out that the attackers came from the 'Prathamik Siksha Vargg' camp being conducted in Kannur.
