Son sees photo of his father's dead body on phone, dies of heart attack at checkpost

Tirupati: A 50-year-old person who was on his way to attend the last rites of his father died of a heart attack after he saw the picture of his father’s dead body while showing it to the police guarding a border checkpost. The incident took place late on Tuesday at the inter-state border near Palamaneru in Chittoor district.

According to reports reaching here, Anjaneya Naidu (78), hailing from Nalla Venkataiahgari Palli in Chittoor Rural mandal, had died on Tuesday due to age-related ailments. After hearing the news of his father, the man's son Babu Naidu, started off from Bengaluru to go to his native place to perform the last rites of his father.

When Babu Naidu reached the Palamaneru inter-state border, police intercepted him and asked him to show credentials. So the man asked his relatives to send a photo of his father’s dead body to his phone. When he saw the picture on his phone, he suffered a heart attack and collapsed on the spot.

Babu Naidu was immediately then shifted to a local hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The doctors here confirmed that he died of a heart attack. With the death news of both father and son, a pall of gloom has descended on village Venkataiahgari Palli.
