HYDERABAD: BJP MLA Etala Rajendar’s wife Etala Jamuna on Tuesday alleged that BRS MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy was trying to kill her husband. “Kaushik Reddy is saying that by spending ₹20 crores, he will eliminate Etala Rajendar soon", she said.
Rajendar, being a Telangana movement fighter, was not deterred by death threats from gangster Nayeem, she said. “We don't care for death threats by Kaushik Reddy," she said.
Kaushik Reddy was making such statements with the support of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, she alleged while speaking to mediapersons at their residence in Shamirpet on Tuesday
Jamuna said Kaushik Reddy had become a "mad dog" and was harassing people, especially women, in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency. “Extortion of money from rice mill owners and sand mafia by Kaushik Reddy reached the peak,” she alleged.
“The people of Telangana will protect us as we have not committed any misdeeds,” she said. Jamuna alleged that Kaushik Reddy had destroyed a statue of Telangana martyrs in Huzurabad. She demanded that Kaushik Reddy be dismissed as MLC.
When Kaushik Reddy was in the Congress, he had targeted Telangana protagonists during the statehood movement, she said.
