Land: Cherial police book MLA's daughter Tuljha Bhavani
WARANGAL: The police on Tuesday booked Tulja Bhavani Reddy, daughter of Jangaon BRS MLA Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy, and her associates following a complaint lodged by one Raju Bai that she had demolished a compound wall constructed around his land in Cherial of Jangaon district.
They later let her off and named only her associates for demolishing the wall.
Bhavani Reddy had announced that she would return to the Cherial municipality, the land that her father had allegedly encroached and registered to her name. On Sunday, she demolished the compound wall around a 1,270-square yard plot of land.
Raju said Bhavani Reddy and her associates demolished the fencing which was laid surrounding his land adjacent to the disputed site.
The police officials initially registered a case under Sections 447 and 427 of the IPC for criminal trespass and causing damage. They later removed her name and booked some of her followers.
Meanwhile, Bhavani Reddy inaugurated a cattle fair on the disputed land. It was stated that three years ago, Yadagiri Reddy had laid constructed the compound wall claiming that the land, where the cattle fair used to be held, belonged to him.
