VIT-AP hosts workshop on entrepreneurship

VIJAYAWADA: VIT-AP School of Business and Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell (IIEC), in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation, organised an IGNITE Faculty Orientation Programme on Entrepreneurship Development.

Speaking on the occasion, VIT-AP University vice chancellor Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy said the programme will empower faculty members with knowledge and skills required to foster a culture of entrepreneurship among students. The VC said the programme aligns the institution's vision of grooming job creators, who would contribute to socioeconomic development of the society.

VIT-AP University registrar Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti underlined that the intensive orientation programme has been designed to provide faculty members with insights into fundamentals of entrepreneurship, art of building an entrepreneurial mind-set and effective methods that instil entrepreneurial values among students. He said this will help nurture a generation of youth, who are not only academically proficient but also equipped with skills to become successful entrepreneurs.

Wadhwani Foundation principal educator Dr Sujatha R, region head (South) Naved Ahmed, VSB dean Dr. S.S. Shanthakumari and IIEC director Dr. Ameet addressed the gathering.
