Hyderabad: Burger outlet gutted in fire mishap
Hyderabad: Property worth Rs 5 lakh was gutted after a fire broke out at a burger outlet near Metro Pillar No. 1698 in Madhapur on Sunday. Mohammed Abdul Fazal, Madhapur station fire officer, said the fire started at 12.44 pm in the kitchen on the third floor.
Two fire tenders were pressed into action, and three firefighters clad in breathing apparatus entered the kitchen through the rear exit and extinguished the fire by 1.12 pm.
He said oil that had dripped from the chimney caught fire, which spread to the rest of the place. There were no customers at the time, and the chef and two workers escaped from the main entrance.
Madhapur police registered a case of fire accident and are investigating. Yesu Babu, caretaker of the outlet, was said to be out of town and was informed of the incident.
