HYDERABAD: A Class 9 student who was missing from his Kokapet residence for the past two days was traced to a friend’s house in Narsingi on Saturday.
The police said the boy left home around 4.30 pm on January 26 after being scolded for playing video games, instead of preparing for exams. Upset, he left home stating that he wouldn’t return.
His parents searched the surrounding areas and inquired with their neighbours and his friends, but to no avail. They then lodged a missing person complaint with the police on Friday.
Narsingi sub-inspector S. Murali said they tracked the youth to a friend’s house in the same locality but he refused to return home initially. After being convinced, he was dropped home, he said, adding that the boy was in trauma and that his statement would be recorded later.
