HYDERABAD: Close on the heels of a 33-year-old software engineer dying by suicide after being lured by a betting ring and losing Rs 12 lakh online, a youngster invested Rs 12 lakh that he had borrowed in online betting and lost his money in Kamareddy.
The Kamareddy town police said that Sandeep had placed bets on an app and received small returns. To profit from this, Sandeep borrowed Rs 12 lakh from loan app companies and paid the money to the betting app. He lost all the money this time.
Sandeep moved the police claiming he was cheated. The Kamareddy town police registered a case and informed the cybercrime police.
