Musical fountain to be shifted to PV marg

HYDERABAD: India’s largest floating fountain is getting dismantled from the Hussainsagar and is being relocated closer to Necklace Road. This initiative by the HMDA is aimed at easing traffic congestion during the show right in front of the Secretariat.

The fountain is a special attraction for those visiting Tank Bund. Installed in February, this musical fountain is 180 metres long, and 10 metres wide, with 800 jet nozzles, and sprinkles rising to a peak of 90 meters, synchronised with the background music. Laser lighting and the release of fog added to the charm of the attraction have come up at a cost of ₹17 crores.

HMDA officials stated that there is a proposal to shift the fountain to P.V. Narasimha Rao Marg as there were traffic problems in the existing location.
