Skill Development – Data science Hackthon launched in AP
VIJAYAWADA: The AP State Skill Development Corporation launched a Skill Development– Data science Hackthon here on Thursday to help students upgrade their skills in AP.
Nearly 1200 students across the state have completed the certification on “Data Sciences” under the emerging technologies certification initiative by APSSDC along with Indo Euro Synchronization based out of India and Germany. These students will be benefited through the hackathon.
Challa Madhusudhan, advisor to (SD&T) government of AP, Ajay Reddy, chairman of APSSDC, S Satyanarayana, MD-APSSDC and Raj Vangapandu, IES CEO, launched the Skill Development– Data science Hackthon poster.
Madhusudhan explained about the Hackathon, which is a sprint-like event to enable participants to define problems in a limited time period. These are aimed at ideating and finding the best solution to a given problem.
Satyanarayana said the “Data Science Hackathon” competition aimed to bring the best talent from Andhra Pradesh. He said this will be an unique competition which is a biennial competition, and extraordinary talent is exhibited from across the state with the support of state governments and Industry.
The winners will be awarded best prize money and a chance to become an entrepreneur.
Raj Vangapandu said students cannot only improve their coding and soft skills but also stand out from others during placements with the improvement of skills in this Hackathon.
He explained that in continuation with the Data science, there will be a 12 weeks Internship program by IES in association with APSSDC.
