Kurnool: Nandyal district collector Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon suspended two ward administrative secretaries and issued show cause notices to three others for negligence in their duties.
Dr Samoon took action after he found that the staff members were consistently tardy in their duties and were not adequately attending the Spandana activity scheduled from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The two secretaries who were suspended are T. Babavali, the administrative secretary of Lalitanagar Ward Sachivalayam in Nandyal town, and M. Sudhakar Reddy, the administrative secretary of Salimnagar.
The three secretaries who were issued show cause notices are S. Azamatullah, the administrative secretary of Jagajjananinagar Ward; N. Narayana, the administrative secretary of Nunepally Harijanawada Ward; and K. Jaswant Babu, the administrative secretary of YSR Nagar Ward.
Dr Samoon said that the ward secretaries should take the Jaganannaku Chebudam programme of utmost importance and should not neglect it.
