On-the-spot financial support to needy and ailing from CM Jagan
TIRUPATI: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy interacted with those seeking assistance and resolved their concerns during his visit to Nagari on Monday.
The CM received a series of petitions from the public. Notably, K. Shanmugam from Pannuru village in Vijayapuram mandal, Chittoor district, made a plea for financial support due to his physical disability. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the district collector to provide him an immediate assistance. A cheque of Rs 1 lakh was immediately issued to Shanmugam.
A. Nagaraju from Mittapally, Nagari mandal, narrated his problems of kidney failure and mounting medical bills. The CM assured him of support, advising reimbursement of his medical expenses and offering him an assistance for a kidney transplantation. A cheque of Rs 1 lakh was handed over to Nagaraju.
P. Rahman, a 6-year-old from Srikalahasti, fighting blood cancer, heard from the CM that his medical bills will be reimbursed. The family received a cheque of Rs 1 lakh from Jagan Reddy.
M. Chandu, an 11-year-old, was battling blood cancer. His father's plea was met with a promise of assistance and a cheque of Rs 50,000 was presented to him on the spot.
N. Sumitra, facing the loss of her husband, received a Rs 1 lakh cheque under the Jeevanopadhi and YSR Bima schemes.
Not limited to health concerns, the Chief Minister also addressed livelihood needs. Aishwarya, a concerned mother, received an assurance of better medical services and reimbursement of medical bills for her sons. A cheque of Rs 1 lakh was presented to her.
Physically disabled individuals also found support in the Chief Minister's responsive administration. M. Gajendra and G. Mattayya each received a cheque of Rs 50,000 for self-employment.
